The GAA has confirmed the Champions 15 award winners for the 2015 Ring, Rackard and Meagher hurling championships.

These awards, which honour the best hurlers from these three championships, will be presented at the (6-November-2015) GAA GPA All-Stars banquet sponsored by Opel at the Convention Centre, Dublin.

The shortlists for the inaugural Camogie Association/WGPA Players’ Player of the Year Awards sponsored by Liberty Insurance have been announced across the three award categories as follows:

Senior Player of the Year Shortlist:

Gemma O’Connor (Cork)

Niamh Kilkenny (Galway)

Orla Cotter (Cork)

Intermediate Player of the Year Shortlist:

Jane Dolan (Meath)

Patricia Jackman (Waterford)

Susie O’Carroll, Camogie Soaring Stars award

Kildare is to receive two of the this year’s six Intermediate Soaring Stars awards, it’s been revealed today, Friday 2nd of October 2015.

Susie O’Carroll of Celbridge and Melissa Lyons of Clane are the two Lilywhites chosen as recipients.

Waterford, winners of the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship with victory over Kildare in the final last month, will receive three. 

They are Lorraine Bray, Beth Carton and Patricia Jackman. Jane Dolan of Meath completes the six.

Susie (left) is a recipient previously of a Junior Soaring Stars award, but this will be a fabulous first for Lyons (right).

The awards will be presented in the City West hotel on 7th November.
