To All members

As everyone is aware with the response to the Covid-19 is to suspend all activity to include all games, training and team gatherings.

With regards to access to the facility as individual members

As with other licensed premises the bar will remain open subject to numbers (normal open hours). We ask all members using the facility to use the sanitizers provided before and after you arrive and follow the instructions issued by the HSE.

In regards to the Gym it is the Clubs executive view the Gym should remain closed to all members during this period for there is no way of guaranteeing people clean the items they have used. We are of the view this is of the best interest of our members especially our players.

In regards to meetings if you are to have them (only if essential) please use them in the Bar, be careful of the numbers attending and use the sanitizers etc before and after you leave.

Follow the instructions issued by the HSE including distancing

Every little bit helps and we will get to normality asap

A chairde,

We are all hugely proud of the significant role that the GAA plays in Irish society and the positive impact made at Club, school and County level through our promotion of our native games.
However, with that role comes responsibility and never has this been more evident than in recent days, and the decision taken to suspend all GAA activity, matches and training at Club, school and County level across all grades and codes until March 29 inclusive.

Here, Uachtarán CLG John Horan and Ard Stiúrthóir Tom Ryan spell out the GAA’s position and our request to all of our members to do the right thing and to play our part.

Ar aghaidh linn le chéile.

Uachtarán CLG, John Horan, encourages the Association’s members to rally around the most vulnerable in their communities in response to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Ard Stiúrthóir CLG, Tom Ryan, discusses the Association’s response to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Covid-19 response

In light of this morning’s Government announcement, the GAA, An Cumann Camógaíochta and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association have decided to suspend all activity at club, inter-county and educational levels until March 29 (inclusive) from midnight.

This is to include all games, training and team gatherings at all ages and all grades.

We will continue to liaise with Government officials and review the situation between now and the end of the month, assessing the impact of these measures on our competitions.

In the meantime, the Association is encouraging all members to continue to follow the guidelines which have been provided by the health authorities.
