Referees - note from Children's officer

Coaches,

For home matches, please ask all coaches, players and supporters to remember to respect the referees and each other.

For Underage matches in particular where we use our juvenile referees, we would ask that going forward, coaches to introduce our referee to opposing team coaches and remind them that they are juveniles, who have given their time to referee the matches and will do their best to ensure fairness and good decisions. (If an opposing coach has any issue with a referee or their decisions they should speak directly to the home coach and not the referee).

We would ask that all coaches and parents be mindful of this and no comments be directed at them during the matches.
Also remind our Referees that THEY are in charge - if there are any comments or such from the opposing team coach, they should immediately warn that coach and can ask the coach to leave the sideline if it continues.

The same applies to parents on the sidelines.

Alternatively the referee can speak to the home coach to let them know and they can speak on their behalf.

Thank you for taking the time to read this -

We would ask that all coaches read this and forward to parents of their players for them to read with their child. Please ask parents to acknowledge that they/their child have read understand and agree to abide by this and for coaches to do same. (If any coach wants to print this off and hand out that's fine - its only 4 pages).

All full version of the New Code, Vetting Information etc will be up on our Hall Wall shortly and the link to the full Code is here, on our website.

Please take the time to read the full code as there is other important new information on The Role of the Club, Recruitment of Coaches, Social Media use, Away trips etc.

There also is a new form that all new coaches must fill out going forward. This can be found on page 65 & 66 of the Code. We will make these forms available at the club.

The link to the full code can be found here -
