The new club jersey has some extra Celbridge heritage emblazoned on the back with an image of the iconic Castletown House. While also on the back of both the first and alternate colour jersey is a special symbol of an oak tree in a circle.
The native Oak Tree is especially synonymous with Cill Dara. We are using this image on our new jersey to symbolise a number of elements integral to our club ethos - strength, endurance, stability, justice, honesty, culture, ancestry and family. The oak tree was often the hub of the community in ancient times and the roots of this Oak Tree form a circle to represent wholeness and oneness and as our symbol of inclusion for all. Cill Droichid CLG is a community that has a place for ALL. We also pay tribute to our late Club President, Pat Murphy and the oak tree he planted to mark the opening of the Páirc nÓg grounds.
