★2016 turned out to be a very successful year for the U13 squad with a total of > 20 competitive matches played during the year with a panel of approx. 20 lads who all show great enthusiasm for the game and always give 110% to every activity.

The year started with the Feile campaign with a combination of our U12 and U13’s entered into D3. With only 1 defeat in qualifying we went on to play Northern Gaels in the Cup final. Having looked dead and buried at HT we emerged victorious at FT to retain the cup, emulating the success of the last years Feile team.

Post Feile we got straight into the Spring league we again got to Cup final against Northern Gaels and with a lot of players away on holidays, we led for most of the game only to lose by the narrowest of margins to a late goal.

During the autumn we had a very competitive campaign with some great skill on show and finished 2nd in the group. We lost the SF to Nass, we did not show up having beaten them well the previous week. We also have approx. 10 players involved in the U13 Lily Og who recently took part in our 1st intercounty blitz v Wexford and Wicklow in Ferns, Co Wexford.

We would like to thank all parents for supporting such a busy year and also thank Peter Beirne for completing some training sessions with the team. Paul, Tom and Dave.
