The U16 camogie team came away from Kilcock on Weds 27th April with a 6-8 to 2-8 win. This was a high quality game played in a great spirit. After a number of narrow defeats in this Division 1 league, everything clicked and brought the girls an excellent away win. A feature of the display was the exceptional team work and creative and unselfish interplay, all over the field. While all the girls distinguished themselves, it is worth mentioning the contributions of five girls who are almost at the end of their juvenile careers - Sarah Wallace, driving ball after ball out from the full back line;...
The Celbridge U16 Camogie team welcomed St Vincent's from Dublin to a sunny Celbridge on Valentine's Day. The only problem was it didn't stay sunny for long. Despite the conditions, the girls played out a tough, skilful game, losing out in the end by a single score.

Late rally earns Kildare a place in All Ireland semi-final.
Cavan 2-08, Kildare 2-09
Kildare U16 camogie produced an excellent final quarter to outscore opponents Cavan by seven points to one and advance to the All Ireland semi-final of the competition. Late on, Cavan did have the opportunity of an equaliser that their overall play probably deserved but Clodagh Keenaghan’s ‘45’ drifted wide of the right hand post and the referee’s final whistle sounded at the puck-out, to the delight of the visiting team, management and support.
Kildare began this game brightly and Emma Kielty pointed in the...
The Kildare u16 Camogie team travelled to Stradone on Sat July 25th, to play Cavan, in what was effectively an All Ireland quarter final, with the victors securing a place in the semis.
We presently have 6 Celbridge girls on the panel and they showed how important they are during this match.
Firstly Eilish Mahon was on hand to fire home Kildare's first goal, to keep the Lilies in contention against a strong Cavan team, and when Kildare found themselves 6 points down going into the final ten minutes, the other Celbridge star Anna Gallagher
lived up to her role of team Captain, by scoring a goal...

Celbridge held the annual Joan O Flynn tournament recently. This tournament is for Minor Girls and is very competitive. Three teams entered this Year Clane, Fr O'Neills from Cork and Celbridge. All Games were very competitive none more so than the final between Clane and Celbridge which was eventually won by 1 point in Celbridges favour. The weather was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the Barbecue after.
