Celbridge camogie ended their U15 Div 1 league campaign with a terrific Shield final victory over Naomh Bríd (an amalgamation of Leixlip and Cappagh) in a titanic battle in the camogie grounds at Donore. Congratulations to Celbridge Ladies U14 team who continued their unbeaten run in the league campaign with a resounding victory over Two-Mile-House. From the throw in Celbridge dominated possession with Maria Keating and Niamh Mortell on top at midfield and the excellent link up play between these two and the half forwards Megan Quinn and Rachel O’Reilly was an outstanding feature of Celbridge’s play throughout the game. In the first quarter a combination of some wayward shooting and fine defending by Two-Mile House’s full back line ensured that Celbridge did not turn possession into scores. ...
